After a fatal fall in German climbing area Oderwitzer Spitzberg near Zittau, Saxonia, Czech doyen climber Mira Kares died.

The fall happened on Sunday from the hight of about 25 metres. The injured man was taken to hospital by helicopter. Today the relatives reported he has gone.
There is no detailed report about the cause of the accident.
Mira Kares was 59 years old, is father of the former Czech Champion in competition climbing Jan Kares and World Cup speed competition climber Eliska Karesova. He has lived in Liberec (Reichenberg). He was active in children and youth climbing, and btw. recently he has organized annual of Vijagra Cup - the climbing competition for seniors.
